Trying Out the New Coffee Roaster

We used-to-use our Dutch Oven to roast coffee on top of the stove.  It turned out good, but not as uniform as our new +Nesco Coffee Roasting machine.  With the top of the stove method, all windows, doors, fans, vents, etc. must be opened or you will die from smoke inhalation...no joke.  So, with our new machine life is good.  You roast in smaller batches, so that's even better for freshness and you don't have to worry about the fire department showing up at your door.

I had fun roasting coffee this morning.  I made 4 batches.  2 Columbian, 1 Donkey Espresso Blend Decaf and 1 with 1/2 Ethiopian Decaf and 1/2 Donkey Espresso Blend.  I call the last one the Donkethiopian Decaf and I can't wait to try it out.

We used-to-use our coffee maker to make our coffee drinks, BUT NOW, we are espresso lovers to the max.  Everything, no matter what kind of coffee it is, becomes an espresso to us.  We are spoiled and we love it!
