Low Carb Pizzas |
So, I'm doing this Keto thing, and of course the first thing I crave is Pizza! Well, come to find out, there is a Pizza you can have and still eat low carb. They call it Meatza!
|
Pizza (Meatza) "Crust" |
Ingredients:
- Bulk Package Ground Beef
- Double Pack Mozzarella Cheese
- 5 Ripe Tomatoes - Chopped
- 1 Can Black Olives - Sliced
- Red Onion - Chopped
- Bell Peppers - Chopped
- 1 Cup Fresh Basil - Chopped
- 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp. Dried Basil
- 1 tsp. Dried Thyme
- 1 tsp. Dried Oregano
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 2 Mini-Scoops Stevia Powder
|
Pizza Toppings Prepped and Ready |
Use 1/2 of the bulk ground beef for each Pizza Pan. Press it down leaving indentations to allow the steam to escape. Leave a raised edge for your crust. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Use a baster to remove any excess fat that forms around the edges.
Prep your toppings and have them ready to add to the "crusts". Add all the dried spices, salt and the stevia to the tomatoes and stir well - this is your tomato sauce.

Lower Carb Pizza with Cheese, Olives and Basil |
Layer each pizza with tomato sauce first, then the cheese and veggies. We made one of the pizza's without onions and bell peppers (for the picky eaters).

Hot from the oven with yummy melted cheese. |
Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. Check them a few times during baking, use the baster to remove excess liquid. The pizzas are done when they are slightly toasted and the cheese is melted.
|
Slice them up and serve. |
The pizzas are easy to slice. You may add Parmesan cheese or red peppers, if you like.
