Mark Hyman, MD On Food As Medicine

Here is a link to a great article on food as medicine.

Eat Your Medicine: Food as Pharmacology

I love how Mark Hyman, MD gives great credit to the Chinese from his trip to China as having a much more knowledgeable background and healthier outlook on eating than he himself, even after years of research.  We here in the USA seem to eat what tastes good with nary a care in the world as to the benefits or the detrimental effects our food has on us.

He lists some great Asian foods to start incorporating into your diet and the benefits of each.  There's no problem finding these healthy alternatives in many of the Asian markets found almost in every neighborhood throughout the USA.

Another important thing he states, which I just love is, "Remember eat the rainbow!"  How fun is that?  Even for picky kids, tell them, "Eat the rainbow!" and give them a plate of rainbow colored foods and voilà, healthy foods in tummy where they belong!
