Pork Katsu or Family Style Pork

Pork Katsu Ingredients
This is our version of Pork Katsu.  I normally use ground flax, processed pecans or almond flour, but since we had leftover bread crumbs I used those.  I went for the traditional flavor our family likes.

Ingredients:
  • 1 Package +Trader Joe's Japanese Style Bread Crumbs
  • 10 Boneless Pork Steaks
  • 2 Tbs. Parsley
  • 1 Tbs. Sage
  • 1 Tbs. Rosemary
  • 1 Tbs. Thyme
  • 1 Tbs. Poultry Seasoning
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Pepper
  • 1 Mini-Scoop +Trader Joe's 100% Organic Stevia Powder
Putting the Pork Steaks in the Oven

Mix all ingredients (except for Pork Steaks) in a large bowl.  Dip each Pork Steak into the mixture and coat well.  Sprinkle additional mixture evenly over the steaks.  Place steaks on cookie sheets in 325 degree oven for about 2 hours or until nicely browned.

Nicely Browned Pork Steaks

Use a spatula to loosen the Pork Steaks.  Slice the Pork and use in a Bento Box or eat cold for lunch.  You may serve whole Pork Steaks for dinner as well.

Bento Box Leftovers Dinner

We made dinner out of the leftovers, though I think it should have been the opposite.  We should have been making our Bento Boxes out of our Leftover dinners, ha ha ha.  See Previous Posts, Bento Boxes Monday thru Friday, for Ingredients.
